Artist: Dorothee Cosack
Purchaser: Dutch Masters (Henry Farm)
Location: Cricket is now located on a private farm in Claremont.
Cricket is inspired by the beautiful horses that surround Cosack on her family ranch, western horsemanship, and the freedom of our country. The cliche of the western horse person riding in to the sunset is wonderfully romantic and Cosack hopes that viewers feel a sense of peace when looking at Cricket- the warm breeze fading as the blazing sun begins to sink below the horizon, the call of distant coyotes, the steady rise and fall of the horses breath.
As a full-time horse trainer, Cosack has a deep understanding of horses and the impact they have on people. She strongly believes that horses can serve as a conduit for the peace that we all seek in our lives.
