The 7th annual Headwaters Horse Country Stable Tour
On October 4 & 5, 2014 from 10am-4pm, 11 equine facilities from the Town of Caledon, Dufferin County, Town of Erin and King Township opened their doors to the public. From breeding farms, coaching and training facilities to riding schools, boarding stables and ranches, visitors will experience the gamut of equine activity with a rare “behind the scenes” perspective.
Some of the highlights included live demonstrations and “horse games” at Winsong Farm, opportunities for children to play catch with and learn the history of Canadian horses at Hidden Meadow Farm, vintage side saddle costumes and demonstrations at Rustic Meadows, and an artistic tribute to the horse at Silver Creek Arts “Year of the Horse” exhibition, including Headwaters Horse Country art finalist pieces, “Bound For Glory” and “Morning Glory” by Headwaters area artist Ellen Cameron.
